Cupping is used in traditional Chinese medicine to stimulate acupuncture points or larger areas of the body. Cups are rounded and made of glass or plastic.  They are placed on the skin and create a vacuum inside the cup.

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort, a herb, to facilitate healing. Moxibustion has been used for thousands of years; The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health. Moxibustion has been used in breech presentation and once demonstrated is administered at home.
