How Acupuncture Works

Acupuncture is a healthcare system based on ancient principles which go back nearly 2000 years.  Today acupuncture is widely used in many walks of life from the premium league to the Olympics.

The World Health Organisation recommends acupuncture for over 100 conditions,

The practitioner makes a diagnosis by asking questions and looking at your tongue and feeling the pulses on both wrists.  Points are chosen from over 360 on the body to address the imbalances found.

Needles are then inserted into the points to affect the energy called qi in the body.  Below was produced by the British Acupuncture Council a membership organisation,
